“The next generation that we’re working on now will be launching next year, in 2023, and it’s going to be great,” Ford’s vehicle director for icons and Ford Performance, Ali Jammoul, told Wheels in a recent interview “So it’s launching next year and there will be events, so you [the media] will get to drive it.”

Additionally, Jammoul once again confirmed that the V8 will be sticking around in the next-generation pony car, as Ford Authority reported nearly a year ago. He also hinted that an electrified version of the Mustang could launch when the S650 arrives, which isn’t a huge surprise.
