As of this writing, Renesas isn’t certain when it will be able to resume production, but power has already been restored and the company is currently assessing the condition of its plants. Partial production on some of the test lines at Yonezawa has already resumed, however, though it will take several days to restart full production even if no damage is found at any of the plants.

UPDATE 2 - Impact of the March 16 Earthquake in the Coast of Fukushima Prefecture on Renesas Operation

Renesas today announced an update on the impact of the earthquake that hit the coast of Fukushima Prefecture and the surrounding areas on March 16 at 11:36 p.m. JST on Renesas Group operation.

Renesas operates three factories close to the epicenter: Naka Factory (Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture), Takasaki Factory (Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture) and Yonezawa Factory (Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture).

Naka Factory, Renesas Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
The start-up of the manufacturing equipment began on March 17 JST, and production has resumed partially (for test lines) within the same day.
We expect to reach full pre-earthquake production capacity (wafer input base) on March 23 JST.
Assessment of the impact on work-in-progress is underway, and an outline is anticipated to be attained by March 23 JST.

Takasaki Factory, Renesas Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd.,
The start-up of the manufacturing equipment began on March 17 JST, and production has resumed partially (for test lines) within the same day.
We expect to reach full pre-earthquake production capacity (wafer input base) on March 23 JST.
Assessment of the impact on work-in-progress is underway, and an outline is anticipated to be attained by March 23 JST.

Yonezawa Factory, Renesas Electronics Corporation,
Production initially resumed for some test lines on March 17 JST, and production for all processes has resumed as of today, March 18 JST.
We expect to reach full pre-earthquake production capacity (input base) on March 20 JST.
While we initially announced that one employee suffered a minor bruise, further medical examination diagnosed the injury as a bone fracture.

· As of March 18 JST, Renesas has so far received no reports on casualties or significant facility damage.

Haben die da mehrere Werke? Weil da steht, dass die Produktion in "zwei Werken" eingestellt wird. Vom Mustang stand da auch nichts, oder habe ich da was übersehen?

im 2. absatz steht:
U.S. automaker Ford said it would suspend production at its Flat Rock Assembly Plant next week, where it builds the Mustang, due to the global semiconductor shortage.

und im 3. steht:
GM said that because of a temporary part shortage it would cancel production next week at Lansing Grand River assembly, where it builds the Cadillac CT4, Cadillac CT5 and Chevrolet Camaro. GM said the production halt was not related to chips but provided no other specifics.

also einmal das Werk wo die Mustangs gebaut werden und ein anderes Werk von GM wo cadillac etc gebaut werden

Over the past several months, Ford Mustang production has been impacted multiple times, which has also been the case with virtually every other model that FoMoCo currently produces. Now, 2022 Ford Mustang production is set to be impacted by the semiconductor chip shortage once again, as Michael Martinez of Automotive News has revealed that the Ford Flat Rock Assembly Plant will be idled next week, according to a memo sent to employees at the plant.

2022 Ford Mustang production began at the Flat Rock plant back in early January, but in the few months since, has been temporarily paused numerous times. Production of FoMoCo’s pony car was first idled in late January – just a few weeks after production began – and then paused yet again roughly one month later for a total of three weeks. It certainly isn’t alone in that regard, however, as the Ford Ohio Assembly Plant – which produces the Ford E-Series, the Ford Super Duty, and the Ford F-650 / F-750 medium-duty trucks – has been idled numerous times this year as well.

As Ford Authority reported last month, a number of 2022 Ford Mustang options are no longer marked as late availability, but that isn’t the case with many other Blue Oval models, which have been shipping without a number of non-critical features in recent months.

Da bin ich mal gespannt, ob meiner tatsächlichen am 18.04.22 produziert wird....
Bestellt: 02.09.21 und ursprüngliches Produktionsdatum 01/22....
Musste auch schon meine Farbe ändern von VeloCity-blue auf Atlas-Blau und Alcantara+Carbon rausnehmen....
