Not that I am planning to sell it, just curious, what will be the depreciation of our 2015 pony's here in Europe?

Re: Depreciation/abschreibung
Hi,
do you mean the real value loss on the used car market or depreciation in sense of booking regulations for business use?
I think no one can estimated the resulting real value loss on market in moment, because we have a complete new situation in Germany with Ford selling first time directly here. In former time there were only import cars. Much higher number of vehicles now, other prices etc. So the crystal ball needs some tuning.
For the book Depreciation of business/company cars are some differing models in germany. For example linear depreciation over 6 years.
Hope this helps.

In order to achieve some Ballpark Figures these pages might be pretty helpful:

Re: Depreciation/abschreibung
I mean loss in value on second hand market,
I read on the internet that in the US the depreciation is rather high of the s550, numbers of 20 to 25% in the first year. That could mean that soon cheap imports might be available and that might lower the value of second hand mustangs here.

Re: Depreciation/abschreibung
We are talking about a niche market here, the US market is different.
However, the idea of getting an import should be carefully considered. First of all the current f/x will not help, new import vehicles are presently always more expensive that the RRP for a Mustang in Germany. That is mainly driven by f/x. That effect will stay, also for used cars. And I will not dwell on my thoughts about warranty for an US import....
When it comes to precisely estimating future market value I simply recommend reading the liver of a goose at present, might be as good as anything else. No reliable data at present.

May be. No unreasonable assumption .fvdw hat geschrieben:I mean loss in value on second hand market,

But that are simply the consequences of the new delivery situation where we got the benefit of lower prices for new Mustangs (compared with imported cars). So what? You can't have the one without the other.
Basically just a normalization. After 4 Years you will have around 50% off, as with nearly any other car.
